Serving grades Kindergarten–5 in Lacey, Washington

Clubs

Eagles learn in all kinds of ways! Each year, we feature some extracurricular clubs for students to join. They learn about teamwork, goal-setting, and more. There's something for everyone!

Garden Club

Beginning in May, students meet one day every other week to tear down last year's garden, prep, and plant this year's. Students maintain it throughout the spring and early summer, then meet again in the fall for a harvest party. Students and advisors cook the potatoes and make fresh salsa, salads, and strawberry lemonade to celebrate all their hard work! —Janice Knight, Advisor

Eagles United Choir

Eagles United Choir is for 4th- and 5th-grade students only and meets after school in the winter and spring, culminating in a performance in late spring. —Jane Stillman, Advisor

Community Service Club

This club is open to any 4th or 5th-grade student. Come help around our community! —Jane Stillman and Tamara Robins, Advisors

Performing Arts Club

The Performing Arts Club at Horizons is the place to be for your students to participate in the Winter & Spring Musicals! The Winter Musical is performed for the school in December. There is a presentation for the school during the day and one for families that evening. The Spring Musical is performed for the school in June, both here at Horizons and at the Woodland Retirement Community. —Jane Stillman, Advisor

Running Club

The Horizons running club is offered in the fall and spring for 6 weeks each! Students are taught how to stretch and cool down, and to gradually build up to running a 5K. Jason Chapman and Michele Harper, Advisors
